Recently, a distant cousin from my mom side got married. We are all invited so after much consideration, we went cos mom want to show off her grandson haaha....
He look better in this suit as it fits him better. He was pretty ok.. and well behave and enjoyed himself running around. All the relatives said he is good looking. He also enjoyed the wine, wanted more... but no no no. He was fascinated with the hotel bubble lift... keep saying there there.. up up.

Declan finally 2 yrs old. We planned very long on how to celebrate his birthday... in the end, we decided to go for a simple dinner with all our close family members. After his 2nd bday, he seems to grow alot.. he started to talk more tho sometimes we don't understand him. He's taller, 90cm... but still not tall enough. And, he also seem to know more words...

Very fast... my son going to reach 2 yrs old in 2 months time.... he is getting naughtier, more cheeky.. and difficult to discipline. However, we also discover new things like... words we taught him when he was younger, he suddenly said it from his mouth... He is still not as talkative compare to other kids and he is also not brave enough for slides... and playground equipments.
We brought him out every week or every other days... and I took photos as and when i can remember.
Having fever... lying in mummy's bed watching his barney dvd and 'nua' in bed like a worm...
1st time fell ill after so long.

That weekend we went back to jb. Cos my MIL's good friend came back from US. And, really nice of her that she bought books and two oshkosh T-shirts for Declan. We drove up to the resort that they are staying called the Pulai Springs Resort. Declan liked the place cos he was shouting fountain, fish... and see the kids playing at the swimming pool as the adults sat in the cafe beside the pool.
After that, we went to giant to buy Declan's stuff again.... to stock up his pampers and stuff...

Tanfu is back from his work... now he is off the shore. So, David and him has lots to catch up... And we met up twice in last month... Thank to my parents who are willing to look after Declan for the evening so that we can go.

We met up at Orchard Central for dinner then went over to kpo for a drink... Both places we went were very nice...
The drinks are also very good at KPO. I can't drink as i'm on a medication... so i'm the designated driver for the night...
We chit chat till1 am when KPO close for bizness. We also met an old fren, Jackie there too... fren of joe.. use to attend our church. Too bad.. forget to take a photo.

Went home to JB during the 25th july sat... and came back on Tues cos Daddy clearing his annual leave as he is going to change job and the new job will start next mon 17th aug... do pray for him seem like he is pretty stress over it... tho usually he doesn't has any stress I think.
We went back and manage to stock up 4 tins of Declan's milk powder and 7 packets of his pampers.... and save lots of $$$.
Then we met up with Daddy's fren over two evenings. Sun night... we met up with kah wai and lilin's family.... and Declan get to play with Beverly mei mei... However, Declan was snatching all her balls from her... must force him to share... headache... Beverly attend infant care since baby... could be why she is more socialable.

My Big Cousin from the Yong clan came back to Singapore for holiday and to apply PR for his son and his wife from Shanghai as now the whole family is permanently staying in Shanghai due to my cousin's bizness. Was trilled to hear that they are back cos I've not seen the son since birth. My parents and Godparents flew to Shanghai in mar to visit them and I only get to see photos of them.
This time since they are back. Dad made an arrangement to have lunch together. As my cousin rented a car thus was no issue to go anywhere. haa... On 24 july 09, fri, we meet at T3 imperial treasure restaurant for Dim Sum lunch. When Cousin Steven's son Dylan came, he was sleeping. So, we had our lunch first. Declan was so afraid of my cousin... that he was cranky and naughty... refuse to seat in at the table. David took a long time to pacify him before he actually sat down. My cousin also made an effort to get close to him so he won't be so afraid of him.... in a way it works... We bought noodles for Declan thinking that he will like it as he always prefer noodles to rice. But who knows... he refuse to eat only eat the soya sauce chicken instead.... headache.
Afer Dylan woke up, he was not shy... he just approached Declan and talking in his baby language and attempts to make frens and play with him.... Good Declan was friendly and they two went wild.

Declan's grandma, gu jie and uncle jansen drove out from jb. Fetched Declan and me to Marriott to have dim sum lunch. Declan was pretty happy but he kept pooping that i have to keep changing his pampers... till I run out of pampers. Declan and me went home earlier cos i need to teach while grandma, gu jie and jansen went shopping at orchard road.

Me and daddy manage to squeeze few hours to go for dinner on our own.... so we went to katong to eat korean food... BBQ cos we can only eat when Declan not around. But we didn't have much time to spend a bit longer cos my dad called and said Declan running on high fever so tats the end of our dinner.
4 july
SF/YF anniversary service. We finally can attend this year. We miss the choir presentation but manage to catch the cute and good sketch.
After service, we went to kallang leisure mall to have drink and chit chat.... Jimmy shared his europe trip with us.... really nice trip..

22 jun, monday.... gong gong on leave.. he brought us to T3 crown plaza hotel to eat dim sum... after that we walked around T3... he went to the toy shop and hug the funshine carebear he always like... and carry the barney bag for less than a minute haahaa.... At the basement, he watch the fountain for very long and refuse to leave then he was angry that i keep asking him to leave, he threw his water bottle into the fountain. In the end, we waited for the bottlt flow back... Then brought him to the small playground T3 set up too... he did a brave move... try to walk from pole to pole which is movable.. and seat on the rocking horse.
27th jun sat.... we met up with my godparents for dinner at this nice nonya restaurant called kim choo... good food and good ambience and they also sell merchandise too...lots of ppl there, very packed... we were very lucky to get a table.
After dinner, as we were walking to our car, we saw this cake shop.... obolo...so went in and order... good good toooo .... fantastic food for the night.
28th june sun... busy day...drove back to JB for lunch cos grandpa's birthday is that week...
Then came back to sg after Declan woke up from his nap... went straight to vivo... to meet 2 ann - Ann lee and Ann how aka elmo and their family. Cos we are bringing the kids to Gymboree for play time... Had dinner at Kim Gary... thanks to the daddy that mommy can eat and chat.... Then at the Gym... mommies were busy with the signing up to be member while daddies went crazy with the kids... so in the end, sharon,ann and me joined the member.
The other kids really enjoyed but Declan was afraid of all the obstacle course and slides... firstly is the dad scared him... and he also no guts... he was so afraid that he was actually shivering... So gave him milk to calm him down... David and me concluded that Declan is either no guts or he motor skills development is slower...so no choice can't force anyway...
Then we went to Mac donalds.... Kids were given apples from Elmo... each of them bite and swallow except Declan bite, chew and throw out... faintz... I really don't understand him...Fed up was the two words to describe me that night.

Sorry folks... didn't really update my blog. Cos, now got facebook... most of the photos will upload there first. But, will make an effort to update here too... Declan now 20th month old already... on the next day of his 20th month bday... his auntie Andrea came back from Sydney for a short holid.

So, we took him to the airport to meet up with David's mom, bro and sis's bf for dinner. Declan like to take skytrain.. maybe there's some trill in it. He is always so happy to see train...and he learnt train from Thomas and friends haaha...
At 10pm, Gu jie touched down... we said hi and chat bit.. then went home.
20th june:
David and I attended a wedding lunch at marriott... his polymate's Alfie's wedding. Saw lots of their old frens there and did lots of catching up....We took lots of photos ourselves without the newly wed couple haahaa...we are so busy too. After the lunch, went shopping... then went home to have dinner with my dad for the father's day dinner. We settle at sake dining in Tamp 1 for a simple dinner.
21st june:
Happy Father's day... David's 2nd father's day... the 1st father's day last year... Declan still so small so nothing much we can do... But this time, we went out shopping and buy prez yeah and from mommy's account...
Daddy was happy tho, he bought a nice pair of shoes, new belt to replace the old one and a nice pair of aviator sunglasses. We earn a free gift from our shopping.
Then we had a simple dinner at CK Tangs highest storey, Island cafe... we paid for $18++4 course dinner with free beer.

Yest 17th june, Declan turn 20 months old already.... ... He turns in a little cheeky, mischievious, naughty 'devil'. He can make you laugh and also make you cry.... dilemma sometimes don't to sayang him or to smack him.... Lots of ppls said he grew taller which i'm super glad... cos he should be.... unless he didn't get our genes. Hasn't been putting up photos... last week. These are some of the photos we took before he turn 20 mths old.

Declan slowly getting older and he is definitely more energetic and active. He is also more brave to attempt more stuffs. Like last week, we encourage him to play in the playground. All the while, he don't dare to climb the stairs up to the slides.. we have to put him on the slide or half the slide... and let him slide down. Now, after few tries, he dare to climb and walk to the slide, sit down and slide down himself.

At the playground, he get to know this gor gor who will be there every evening. Declan tried to talk to him of course gor gor don't understand but he is really nice, gentle and willing to play with Declan. When he leaves, then Daddy has to be his playmate.

Last tues 2/6, we went to parkway as I need to teach there. So while i'm teaching, Daddy brought Declan to the playhouse disney fair downstairs in the B1. They set up 4 stations for the main cartoon character in playhouse Disney - Mickey mouse, little einstein, handy manny, pooh and frens... Declan was so excited to see all these character, he can't wait for his daddy to take the escalator do B1 from 1st level, he was screaming and making a big fuss, he want to be immediately downstairs.

oh he is pretty cute when he score, he will raise his both hands and run around the room and shout goals...
Last week was a busy week cos Daddy away for biz trip from mon to wed.. so mummy has to look after the rascal myself most of the time... headache... Mon brought him and my mom to TM for lunch... then the moment our lift reach 4th floor, we walked out of the lift lobby my son can't wait to run into the arcade... nothing can stop him...sigh... so let him play while waiting for food.
Found a kid's drum machine so let him play that and see he is doing his drum roll haaha...
Declan will always look for the basketball machine and he could stand and look at the adults play for hours... he not bored but me and daddy can't wait to leave. Then i found a kid basketball machine... after much pleading and see how desperately he wanted to touch the balls. I bought an arcade $$ card for him to play.... I placed him on top of the machine... so he could at least see te net. The moment the balls rolled out, i passed the balls to him and he started to throw.. initially not use to the distance. After few throws, he could throw pretty well 5 out of 10 balls in with good hands positions... he observed well when he watches basketball games on tv and the gor gor at the basketball courts. He showed potential and also thanks to his Godpa's toy for his 1 yr old.. after the 9 months of training.. he is really not bad. When his dad came back, after much discussion, i decided not to dampen his interest instead let him have more exposures... so I went to toy r us to buy a reall kid basketball net for him.
He can't wait to play after his dad fix it up for him after we came back from suntec and after his bath... he started with dunk and later he shoot from distance the 2nd day we adjusted the height higher for him to give him some difficulty and he played with all the different sizes of ball instead of the given one which is smaller...now he is quite good... with all the different sizes.. i planned to do that a bit later but he can't wait and he did well so let him be... will slowly increase the height tho.
He is doing good good hand gestures... now whenever he is free he will be in the room.. we let him play for few days.. now going to 'pull' him back slowly to his usual routines.... drawing, studying and singing his rhymes.
Declan was very happy to see his dad on wed night... he keep sticking around him and make cheeky faces at him to melt his hearts haahaa
Then on thu night, when he saw his dad dig his ears, he also want. So, his daddy digged for him... Declan enjoyed so much that daddy even tho finish, he must not stop till declan said ok... Then the other side.. if Daddy stopped cos finish cleaning his ears, he will started to cry and roll on the bed.... haahaa.... little prince... no i 'upgrade' him to little devil.
Sat, we went to momoya jap restaurant at Bedok sempang there for dinner... Declan is a well know fussy eater but he fell in love with the pork belly there and he finish a small piece by himself... and cannot stop feeding him if not he will keep telling you he want that food.. till you give it to him. haaha... he ate noodles too.... he really know how to choose good jap food... cos lunch we bought the kid's meal at sake sushi for him also udon but he only eat bit.....
Sun, Declan wore very smart to church... and after church we went home straight cos my mil and grandma in law are coming and we meeting my bil for lunch at tamp 1. Brought them to the gourmet town monpuku at Tamp 1. They liked the food which i'm glad... met a poly fren there... so long didn't see her still the same.. and single.. Declan was definitely happy to see his great grandma and grandma cos he was so happy and 'high' when he saw them.. he didn't sleep the whole day even after they went back....

Recently spent more of my time on facebook cos there are so many things there. Declan is 19 months now..... means he is more active, lesser sleeping time esp his nap... which means I need to find things for him to do... So.. I decided keep a rough record of what he usually do at home at this stage and of course some of this photos

Working on his artwork... no disturbance... is quite a daily routine now.
One of his art piece except the shapes... Quite like his sense of color... but sad to say he threw away most of the color pencil.. so I bought him another box of crayons... hope he can behave himself don't keep loosing things.

Declan has about 12- 13 pair of shoes since we got his first pair from 10 months... he has lots of different style too but as he grew older don't know why outside keep selling sport shoes design for boys which i really don't like the range they have in singapore. Cos don't they know that boys also have times when they need to wear smart pants or formal wear...they can't be wearing sport shoes all the time or leather shoes... too mature for Declan esp at this 1.5 yr old age. Recently, was looking around for Declan, after I bought the cheap and nice shoes from Aust in brisbane I can't find anything better than tat.... pretty upset but have to make do. So, few days back we were shopping at Tamp 1 mall after dinner. I saw this shop that has few design for boy's shoes. So let Declan tried two pairs which I quite like. In the end, Declan chose himself cos he refuse to let us take it out and change back to his sport shoes... he was so vain. He tried the 1st pair... then when I took out, he let me tho have bit of reluctant... then when I tried on the 2nd pair, as I'm taking out to change back to his sport shoes, he screamed and cried and kicked his legs and refuse to let me take out. So... hmmm... no choice, let him wear it and I paid the shoes... if not will be caught for stealing haahaa....I quite like it as least it not sport shoes.

Today went to church, put on the sunday best for Declan. He wore a new polo T I think from David's cousin, Kelvin when he came back and a new poney white capri pants bought in KL from his gong gong. I like the pants almost bought it when I saw it in the shop at JB.
After church, I took a packet of crysanthuman drink, Declan saw and wanted to drink, so gave it to him and in the end, he finished most of it. See! he's enjoying the drink... don't even want to pose for me. I this photo... cos he and uncle rongfa seem to be making an ad for yeo hup seng haahaa.....

In the evening, we went for dinner on our own. We went to sempang bedok and the place has TV screen showing soccer match... Declan was so attracted to the match...We asked him how you kicked a soccer ball, immediately, he started to kick his foot as tho kicking a ball. Then, he started shouting goal when the ball rolls or see spectators applause... or he see the ball near the net even didn't go in, he also shout Goal! me and daddy can't stop laughing so in the end daddy tell him need to wait... havn't goal yet actually this match is 0-0 no goal at all haahaa.....

See the father and son look while watching the soccer match....Two of a kind. Their eyes just fix and Declan is the funnier one, cannot imagine him so captivated by the match.... the two of them were in this position for quite a while, till i show daddy the photo....
I can forsee this in future already... two of them seating on the couch watching match and not sleeping...

Last sun was mother's day.... We celebrated for my Grandma in law and mother in law back in JB for lunch before we come back. MIL brought us to this chinese cafe call 逢来 (feng lai) for dim sum. Cosy place but the food not really very good....not bad only... but Granny was complaining not nice.... guess probably she is a good cook herself so more strict and fussy with the food she eats outside. David was pretty full up from Granny's french toast in the morning so he also has not much comments on the food. I quite enjoy... as I always like dim sum.... Thank mom for the treat.... We will pay for her mother's day gift that she chose for herself... green crystal bracelet. Quite nice green esp nowadays i'm abit into green color....
Come back,went to teach.... tired. Then came back drove to Budget terminal with my sis to fetch my parents who's flying back from KL touching down at 6pm. Good that their flight delay if not, sure can't make it in time to fetch them. Then four of us brainstorming where to eat.... cos the drivers (david and andy) esp my hubby dont' want to go town cos gonna be super packed, no restaurant will have place.... and not shopping mall.... so in the end we decided to go Changi village hotel for their buffet instead. So happen, we remember that one of our church fren, Ben working there as the F&B manager. So David gave him a call..... he said quite packed but we figured out won't be as bad as town so decided to go there and try our luck... the most wait in queue for a while.
Thank God, no need to wait too long we have a nice table..Then we start eating... buffet food good good... David kept saying that its definitely better than Trader's hotel's buffet we had on Friday..... He was rather disappointed. So we all enjoyed our food....
Billing was good too... Ben gave us discounts and complimentary drinks... Thanks so much if not me and sis pocket gonna have a huge hole.
Declan still so young, so don't expect anything from him...oh have lots of anger and frustration from him cos he was so naughty tat day.
But sweet daddy bought me a hp for mother's day tho.... I've been wanting to change phone cos the sony was a bit spoil so want to trade in while still have value and is rather a manly phone which is initially not mine in the first place.... I wanted a better cam phone... so after much recommendation I bought the samsung ultra touch... 8 mp and touch screen function, slender, lightweight and look rather lady like... my fav color red and black.
its also the most exp gift i received from darling this half of the yr.

Last fri 8th May, my parents flew to KL for a wedding dinner on sat... will only be back on sun. As for the past few days, been suffering from migraine, scare that i will get it on fri so ask David to take half day leave so we can spend some family time too and bring Declan to see Dr Ong for review. As his flu mucous flow like tap water and his phelgm doesn't seem to go off. At night, I also have a dinner with my poly frens to celebrate Sharon and Guizhu's birthday.
Parents left at 9.30am in the morning in the heavy pouring rain.... Wanted to send them off but cos of the heavy rain and Declan nap time... decided not to go. Instead, Watch my program on the internet. At 12 odd David came back, Declan also just wake up... he was so happy to see his daddy esp now he is his daddy's boy... everything also pa pa.... I'm so happy....
After feeding Declan his lunch, we made our way to united sq to see Dr Ong, As usual got to wait, so Daddy said want to eat dessert and tea so went to Baker's inn. We ordered two slices of cakes - mango mousse and chocolate cake and coffee.. The cakes are really good. Declan seem to have inherited his daddy's genes - the love for chocolate... when i want to feed him the mango mousse, he shiver and yuck at the cake and shake his head but when his daddy gave him the chocolate cake, he no need to think, look at the cake and open his mouth and it went in.... so easy.... Then he started playing with the spoons... and his daddy joined him.

After doc appt, we went home to give Declan a bath cos after the dinner, we plan to drive back to JB home.
We left the house at 6 and reached Trader's hotel at 6.30pm. Wow and most of them already there, sharon and family are there and ryan, mui, Charlotte working so coming later. Then shortly, Elmo and Guizhu came too. Declan fell asleep in the car so David and i quickly grab the time and started eating first. True enough, he woke up an hour later and we got not time to eat .... esp daddy cos he has to look after him while i catch up with my frens. initially when Declan woke up he was very very cranky, he keep whining... then took a while for daddy to warm him up. Then he started to see all the aunties, uncles and Reynard.Later half of the dinner, he started to get very high and all the aunties could carry him. I told Guizhu,this is a super rare scene. Guizhu can even feed him milk.
But suppose to be Guizhu and Sharon's bday but end up the two babies became the centre of attractions. Mui took lots of their photos.
